The annual World Book Day event organized by Instituto Cervantes de Manila is back! After 2023’s venue at Intramuros, this year it returns to the more familiar Ayala Triangle Gardens.

From 9:30 AM to 11:00 PM, local publishers will be selling books with a special discount price of 20%. If you buy a book, you get a rose for free! By purchasing one of the organizer’s T-shirts, you can get one from hundreds of free books.

This year’s event promises to be an exciting day for all. From storytelling and puppet shows for the littles ones, to free Spanish lessons, art lessons and book presentations, and concerts in the evening… one could spend the whole day there and just wake up for the early morning fun run on Sunday at 6:00 AM.

Historian Ambeth Ocampo will be signing books from 4:00 to 6:00 pm.

Local publishers include Everything’s Fine PH, Ateneo University Press, Vibal Foundation, Biblio, Anvil Publishing, among others.
